Shri Basant Pratap Singh
The new Chief Secretary of Madhya Pradesh Shri Basant Pratap Singh is an Officer of Indian Administrative Services of 1984 batch. Originally native of Uttar Pradesh Shri Singh was born on July 1st 1958. Shri Singh has obtained PG degree in Philosophy from the Allahabad University. Shri Singh was initially posted as Assistant Collector Bilaspur in June 1985. Beside S.D.O of Sehora and Dharmjaigarh, Shri Singh also rendered his services as Additional Collector Baikunthpur.
Moreover, Shri Singh also shouldered the responsibility of District Collector of Panna, Durg and Gwalior. Furthermore Shri Singh rendered his services as the Managing Director of Madhya Pradesh Seeds Corporation, OPTEL and Laghu Udhyog Nigam. Shri Singh was also posted as Joint Secretary Ministry of Textile Government of India. Beside Divisional Commissioner of Indore Shri Singh has also shouldered the responsibility of Principal Secretary Higher Education, Revenue and Forest during different service period.
Shri Singh was posted as Additional Chief Secretary Home from May 1, 2015 to October 27, 2016. Shri Singh was posted as Officer on Special Duty at CS Office on October 27, 2016. Shri Singh took charge of Chief Secretary Madhya Pradesh on November 01, 2016.
During the service period Shri Singh has received training in Change Management from London and on subject ‘Quantitative Methods and Operation Research for Public’ from Indian Institute of Management, Bengaluru.
